Mission
The mission of the DM specialist is to further shape the success of Marktplaats Aanbieding through defining and executing an eDM strategy for our consumers. This includes developing, managing and executing the Marktplaats Aanbieding eDM programs, lifecycles and onsite campaigns. The DM specialist will report directly to the Marketing Intelligence and Operations Manager.
Marktplaats Aanbieding is an initiative of Marktplaats, in which the best deals on the market are selected and offered to consumers. Quality, experience and price are leading in this proposition. Marktplaats is the direct seller of this Aanbieding. This happens via a coupon, which can be exchanged by the seller of the deal, eg the restaurant, wellness, zoo. Fun, easy and a good deal.
Responsibilities
DM strategy: Define and execute a DM strategy which supports the Marktplaats Aanbieding strategic targets. User segmentation, conversion, optimization and anti-churn are important elements as well as setting up lifecycle management.
Define, implement and optimize campaigns: Work closely with the marketing and the Aanbieding team in defining various DM campaigns. Work with our CRM system (Selligent) to implement and improvecampaigns. Define test plans and test variables and make sure that optimal results are achieved.
Manage creative execution: Work with designers and copywriters to develop the creative part of the campaigns, making sure that it is aligned with the Marktplaats brand strategy and with the Marktplaats Aanbieding proposition. Also make sure that campaigns areexecuted consistently across all channels.
Manage results and reporting: Report the results of campaigns and lead review meetings. Analyze campaign results, evaluating effectiveness and ROI and making sure that business goals of marketing campaigns are met or exceeded.
Improve processes: Manage and improve processes where possible.
University degree in Economics or Marketing (Economie or Bedrijfskunde).
At least 3 years of marketing experience in a consumer products or -services business, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
Experience with online marketing techniques like e-mail, mobile or display.
Track record of success managing and growing marketing programs across channels – ideally in online/retail and to consumers
Great project manager with lots of perseverance, can execute and make things happen.
Strong communication skills and enjoys working in cross-functional settings
Ability to work under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines
Ability to handle different tasks at the same time
Have an innovative mind set and eager to try new things
Positive attitude
Analytical rigor; problem solver; innovative mindset
Self-starter, results- and detail-oriented
Native Dutch and fluent in English.
